— PROJECT NAME
Jarrett Residence Hall
— ROLE
Interior Design
— DATE
2017-2018
Built in 1964, Jarrett Hall was renovated by the Lawrence, KS Student Life and Interiors teams. The project included a full renovation of the commons building & two wings, including the following spaces: bedrooms, lounges, bathrooms, community learning classroom, community kitchen and living room, laundry facilities, and hall director office and apartment. In addition, Interiors provided a full FF&E package for the project.
As the sole designer and Interiors studio project manager, my involvement in this project began during the Schematic Design charette and continued through Design Development, Construction Documents, Construction Administration, and project completion. From interior finishes selection and documentation to furniture selection and specification, I worked within campus standards and a tight budget to achieve an inviting, comfortable, and durable community space.
